Five people have been injured after a multi-vehicle crash on the M4 on Sunday (May 1). A ten-year-old girl was among those injured and was airlifted to hospital with ‘life threatening’ injuries, Met Police confirm.
Emergency services were called to a car crash involving four vehicles near junction 3 on the M4 in West Drayton. This stretch is near Heathrow Airport.
Met Police were alerted to the incident at around 1.43pm. Both carriageways between junction 4 and junction 3 were initially closed off by emergency services. The westbound carriageway reopened earlier in the evening, with the eastbound route reopening just before 12.30am.

National Highways said on Twitter: “All lanes are now open on the #M4 eastbound between J4 and J3 near #HeathrowAirport following an earlier collision. Delays of less than 10 minutes remain on the approach.”
